Motivation vs Determination

Most of the people think these two words to be the same or having the same meaning, however they are two different words and they have different meaning also. These words can correlate with each other but the perspective from which people see that is very important as many people say that you cannot have motivation without determination and vice versa.

Motivation

Motivation is a thing that makes you to do something and to achieve a certain goal. Motivation serves you to achieve short-term goal especially but in some cases it helps in long-term goal also. people are motivated by different things and many motivational factors affect people in several ways. For example:- A good motivational speech can motivates people or a person who has determined also motivates you to achieve something.

Determination

The word motivation means simple to many people but it is not because sometimes people need a big motivational impact to achieve a certain goal.

Determination

Determination is having the will to do something. There is very less influence or impact of others either its negative or positive way. The person who is strongly determined will accomplish his goal or mission as it is very difficult to remove the determination. What determines person is the task itself and the wish to accomplish the goal.

A determined person makes a decision and stick to it untill it get completed, which represent determination. People cannot determined by the intrinsic things but, can be motivated as these two words are different mentioned above, we can correlate both two though.

1. Motivation is push factor what gets you started. Determination helps you to finish what you started.

2. Motivation is an external force. Determination is an internal force.

3. Motivation can be faded away but determination cannot. Motivation can run out quicker than determination.

4. Motivation has more powerful impact on people than determination.

5. Motivation can be seen for many rewards but, the person who work just for experience can be seen determined.

6. Motivation is easy to get, but it would be difficult to find inner determination.

7. Determination can overpower motivation.

Conclusion

From above we can say that although they can correlate with one another but they are two different words. Determination is difficult to find but you can get motivation easily. A determined person can easily beat a motivated person.
